Co-Founders Andrew Mavis and Nick Bunn met playing water polo when they were seven. From training in lakes to playing in club tournaments, they pushed each other everyday to grow as athletes. Eventually, this competitive brotherhood propelled them to US National Teams and NCAA scholarships to play water polo, becoming the only two New Jersey D1 water polo players in the country at that time.
While in college they played on separate teams, George Washington University and Harvard University, respectively, they found themselves in a similar position. There was no way to monetize the athletic skill and campus influence they had worked hard to earn. They were continuously told water polo was an undesirable and un-influential sport. They knew this was wrong. Moreover, they were met with NCAA restrictions preventing them from overcoming this challenge and monetizing their likeness.
